City of Casey welcomes Liverpool FC Foundation

The City of Casey will welcome Liverpool FC Foundation to Casey on 24 July 2013 at Waratah Reserve, Doveton as part of the club’s first visit to Australia.

City of Casey Mayor Cr Amanda Stapledon said Liverpool FC Foundation will host a training session with Doveton Special Soccer School and is inviting residents to be a part of the fun.

‘Council is inviting soccer fans to attend the training session and cheer on players from the Doveton Special Soccer School.

‘Following the session, fans will be able to meet with Liverpool FC Foundation coaches, the mascot and if they’re lucky, some legends from the club’.

The Mayor said ‘Liverpool FC Foundation’s visit cements Casey’s reputation as the sporting capital of Melbourne’s south east.

‘We’re very excited about this event and the opportunity it provides for residents of Casey to participate in, learn about and watch sport in their own backyard.

‘The City of Casey is committed to providing the sporting facilities our residents need, coupled with the information and inspiration required for them to get involved in the wide range of sports available in the municipality’.

The Mayor concluded ‘Congratulations to Ricardo Balancy, Federal Candidate for Holt and the Doveton Special Soccer School for securing this visit for the benefit of all Casey residents’.
